On May 30 & 31, 2026, ’t Bauhuis will come alive with world-class tattoo artists, exciting competitions, a buzzing marketplace, and plenty of side entertainment. Just like the cunning fox Reinaart, we’re bringing creativity, surprises, and a playful spirit to every corner of the expo. Whether you joined us in Lokeren or are visiting for the first time, this edition promises to be bigger, bolder, and unforgettable.

The Sint-Niklaas Tattoo Expo hosts a series of thrilling tattoo contests, where artists showcase their skills and creativity across multiple categories. Each entry is judged on technique, originality, and overall execution. Whether you’re a contestant or a visitor, the contests are a highlight of the weekend, celebrating the very best in tattoo artistry.
Important Notes:
+ All tattoos must be created at the expo during the event.
+ Entries are judged anonymously by a panel of experts.
+ Our team will visit all artists during the day to assist with registration
Rules
+ Only tattoos done during convention hours by a participating artist are eligible.
+ A single tattoo can enter multiple categories, but will be judged only on the part relevant to each category.
+ You can enter with a maximum of 2 tattoos, but not multiple tattoos in the same category.
+ Both the client and the artist must be present for the awards ceremony.
+ Only category winners are eligible for the ‘Best of Convention’ award.

Accessibility
The venue is fully accessible for both wheelchairs and strollers, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the expo. Children under 12 years old can enter for free.
House Rules
To keep the event safe and comfortable, pets are not allowed, and bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted inside the venue. You are welcome to enjoy them in the designated smoking area.
